The fishing this time of year is usually pretty slow but it has been HOT, HOT, HOT! Many blue marlin and mahi mahi are being caught on the Grand Slam right now.

The bottom bite is in flux right now due to the sea conditions. To do bottom fishing we must go north of the harbor and it has been lumpy up there so we have not done much of this type of fishing lately. Another problem is there is no bait to catch to do this type of fishing. We have gone to jigs but normally all you catch is the 20 and 30 pounders on this technique. "Rather catch a lot of fish you can eat" !
